Peace and Development in Nigeria: Why African Community Values Are Important
##plugins.themes.academic_pro.article.main##
Abstract
Peace is very important for the growth of a country. Nigeria is going through a lot of problems that slow
down progress in growth. The main point of this paper is to look into the main reasons why Nigerian society
is falling apart and becoming chaotic. It looks into the connection between the general fall in morals and
ethics and the rise of what is called a "modern capitalist society." One of the main study questions this paper
tries to answer is: what are the main causes of Nigerian society's general decline? How much does this fall
have to do with modernisation? What is the best way to fix this problem? If Nigerians go back to their old
communalistic values, would that help solve the problem of social decline and bring peace and progress to
the country? And how can those ideals be brought back into society? The argument of the paper is that
people must adopt certain morals in order for peace to exist in any society. African communalism gives us
these ideals that are needed for a happy life and for the growth of our country. The goal of this project is to
find and study African community values and how they can help build peace and the country's growth in
Nigeria. The paper is a qualitative study that uses library materials as data and uses analysis, logical and
intuitive reasoning, as well as textual interpretation.
